Neurosurgery
Neurosurgery is a series I shot for the Neurosurgery Department of Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, New York. The idea was to show to the feeling in the surgical theatre, with its small field and detailed work. After shooting numerous surgeries I began to notice similarities. Classical music filling the operating room. The big American flag hanging on the wall behind the operating table. The patient, fully draped, anesthetized and positioned for the surgeon’s convenience.
It was a good reminder not to get sick, hurt or old.
